Cherry Poppin’ Daddies - new album

Ever impossible to pigeonhole, „White Teeth, Black Thoughts“ sees the Eugene, Oregon-based big band pushing themselves to the outer limits of inspiration and invention. The album marks CPD’s first jazz and swing-powered outing in more than a decade, built upon a twisted frame of guitar-slinging rock ‘n’ roll.
The new album presents a collection of sassy, horn-accented tunes, that are more reminiscent of the 1990s than of the 1940s. Unlike their contemporaries, the Daddies routinely put a modern spin on their lyrics, rather than romanticizing the past.
Accompanying the release, two videos (The Babooch and I Love American Music) critically and ironically comment on the status quo of contemporary American life.
