OH BOY movie SWEEPS EUROPE OFF ITS FEET!
After screenings at a number of prestigious festivals – Filmfest München, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Zürich Film Festival, 17th Festival du Cinéma Allemand, Paris and the Oldenburg Film Fest, youthful director Jan-Ole Gerster has proved with OH BOY that good cinema doesn’t necessarily have to come from Hollywood.
The Berlin based tragi-comedy not only wowed the jury at this year’s Oldenburg International Film Festival, picking up the German Independence Award, but also picked up the audience award, beating off a number of highly praised international titles. Meanwhile the film’s star, Tom Schilling, won the inaugural Seymour Cassel Best Actor award. In addition, the black and white movie also boasts a magnificent soundtrack.
It’s an honor to work with such a talented group of movie makers, as well as young, creative musicians like Get Well Soon, Cherilyn MacNeil aka Dear Reader and Dirk Dresselhaus.
OH BOY is released on the 1.11.2012!
