Underworld meet Frankenstein through Danny Boyle

This year Underworld (published by Mute Song) reunited with ’Trainspotting’ director Danny Boyle to write the musical score for his production of Frankenstein at the Royal National Theatre.

Directed by Danny Boyle, Frankenstein was written by Nick Dear (based on the novel by Mary Shelly) and starred Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller.

The soundtrack album ’Music from the Play Frankenstein’ see’s Underworld create a heady mix of abstract electronics, atmospheric synthscapes and delicate musical interludes that added life to the production but also work well as stand alone compositions.
